Construction vehicle injury leads to man’s death

Those who work in construction and with heavy equipment in Illinois undoubtedly understand the risks they face every day. While experience ,  professionalism and adherence to safety procedures can prevent accidents from occurring ,  they are sometimes unavoidable. There are a great number of problems that can occur and lead to serious injury and death. Unfortunately, a man working at an Illinois plant was recently killed after getting trapped underneath a coil. The man, 56, worked at a plant that processed steel. The accident occurred at approximately 8 a.m. The coils are moved by using a crane and the worker was operating the crane. As he was moving a coil, it fell and he became trapped. He was discovered around five minutes after the accident. He died due to blunt force trauma to his head. Law enforcement and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating the case.

There are many reasons why construction accidents happen. It could be due to negligence on the part of the employer when it comes to maintenance and safety. It might have happened because there were flaws in the system under which the employee was working. There might have been a construction vehicle injury that could have been avoided. Or it could have had to do with the employment atmosphere and practices that skirted safety procedures. Having a grasp on the reason the incident occurred is an imperative when considering a legal case. The loss of a loved one in such a situation can leave a family with financial, personal and practical concerns that need to be addressed.

In this case, a man was working on a crane and moving a coil when the coil fell on him. He died as a result.
